Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806 - 1856) was an hungarian composer and guitarist of the romantic period.
The present edition contaims fifteen studies, which are final the part of his "Schule für die Guitare" (Instruction for Guitar Playing Vienna 1848). These impressing pieces are very useful for students to get into the guitar music of the romantic period. Nearly all pieces can be played without barré.
